MINGLE WITH THE MEERKATS
Meerkats have captured the hearts and souls of many with their entertaining idiosyncrasies and engaging social behaviour. A super cute member of the mongoose family. This experience offers a one-of-a-kind chance to connect with these endearing animals and understand what makes them zoo favourites.
What you will experience:
- You’ll enter the meerkat enclosure and become part of their curious world. Sit or kneel quietly, and often, the meerkats come right up to you – sniffing, climbing, and even using you as a lookout post, providing you with the chance to feed and observe these playful and inquisitive furry mammals up close.
- Under the watchful eye of your expert keeper, you will learn fascinating facts about their social structure, feeding habits, behaviour and habitat.
Expect lots of laughs, great photo ops, and a truly memorable wildlife experience.
UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL
Be sure to book early. For the well-being of our furry friends and to ensure an optimal experience, bookings are limited to three daily sessions – 9.30am, 12pm and 2.30pm, throughout the year. Each private session accommodates a maximum of three participants, allowing you to bring a friend or two if you wish to share the fun.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Entrance: For those participating in the Meerkat Experience, entrance is included.
- Experience times: 9.30am, 12pm and 2.30pm, 7 days a week, throughout the year.
- Duration: 30 minutes
- Who can attend: Minimum age: 5 years old. Children under 10 years must be accompanied by a participating adult aged 16 years or over. Participants under the age of 16 years must be accompanied on site by an adult who holds a valid entrance ticket.
- Wheelchairs: This is NOT wheelchair accessible.
- What to wear: Clothes may get dirty or scuffed; for this reason, we advise you to wear old clothes.
- Footwear: Trainers, boots or wellies MUST be worn.
- Booking: Advance booking via email is required for this experience. Your voucher is valid for 12 months.

Most of our birds and animals used for experience sessions are hand-reared and enjoy human interaction; however, like us all, they have off days, and occasionally, they do not want to participate. For their well-being and yours, we cannot guarantee they will interact with participants.
MEERKAT EXPERIENCE PRICE
For those participating in the Meerkat Experience:-
- Entry is included in the price.
- Each session is private and specifically for you and your friends and family.
- You may bring guests; however, they must purchase an entrance ticket and cannot take part in the experience.
- After your experience, you will have the entire day to explore all of our facilities, should you wish to do so.
